This Privacy Policy describes how Base63 and Refrigerator Stock Optimizer collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our application. By using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

- Account Information: Name, email address, and profile photo when you sign in via Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple through Firebase Authentication
- Device Identifier: A unique device identifier for anonymous authentication, stored securely on your device
- Food Inventory Data: Food items, stock information, and expiration dates you enter into the app
- Photos and Images: Food item photos and receipt images you choose to capture or upload for AI analysis. These images are sent to Cloud Functions for processing and are not stored in Firebase Storage by the app.
- Voice Data: Voice input used to add products. Speech may be processed by the device speech recognition service; audio is not stored on our servers
- AI Interaction Data: Meal suggestion requests and AI chat history
- Crash Reports: App crash logs and diagnostic data, associated with your user ID (via Firebase Crashlytics)
- Push Notification Tokens: Device tokens for sending push notifications (via Firebase Cloud Messaging)
- Subscription Information: Purchase status, product identifiers, and store transaction identifiers needed to verify premium access
- Advertising Data: Rewarded ad interactions, ad unit identifiers, server-side verification callbacks, and device advertising signals processed by Google AdMob
- Technical Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version
2. How We Use Your Information
Collected data is used for the following purposes:
- Providing and personalizing app features, including food inventory management and meal suggestions
- Processing food item photos and receipts using AI to extract product information
- Managing memberships and premium subscriptions
- Showing optional rewarded ads and granting in-app AI usage credits after verified ad completion
- Sending push notifications for expiration reminders and updates
- Detecting and fixing application errors and improving app stability
- Providing customer support and preventing abuse, fraud, or unauthorized access
3. Third-Party Services
Our application uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Firebase Authentication (Google): User account creation and sign-in management, including Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple authentication flows

- Apple Speech Recognition: Voice-to-text processing for the voice input feature where available

4. Data Security
Your account and inventory data is stored on Firebase infrastructure. Image analysis requests are processed through Cloud Functions and are not stored in Firebase Storage by the app. User data is isolated per account, and industry-standard security measures are in place to prevent unauthorized access. However, no data transmitted over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
When you delete your account, your personal data, including food items, meal suggestions, chat history, and preferences, is removed from our active systems. Some purchase, security, fraud-prevention, and server log records may be retained where required by law or for legitimate operational purposes. To request deletion of your data, you can use the "Delete Account" option in the app settings, or contact us at enes@base63.com.
6. Children's Privacy
Our application is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from this age group. If we become aware of such collection, we will promptly delete the data.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location and applicable laws, you may have the following rights:
- Access your data and request a copy
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to data processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
8. Advertising and Tracking Choices
Rewarded ads are optional. If you choose to watch a rewarded ad, Google AdMob may process device identifiers and advertising signals to deliver and measure ads. You can manage ad personalization and tracking choices through your device settings and any consent prompts presented in the app.
